Creating and Editing Objectives
When you click “+ New Objective”, a dialog appears to capture key details about your Objective. Here's how it works:

Field | Description |
Name | A short, clear title for the Objective (e.g., "Validate and scale customer acquisition to reach $10k"). This is what appears on the OKR board. |
Description | A longer explanation of the Objective’s intent, including strategic context or success milestones. Optional but helpful for team clarity. |
Start Date / End Date | Define the timeframe for this Objective. Progress and completion tracking will align with these dates. |
Use descriptive, action-oriented language.
Tie each Objective to a tangible strategic outcome.
Objectives with dates allow for better progress monitoring over time.
💡 Tip: Objectives can span any time range, but for most teams, a 4–12 week cycle is ideal to maintain momentum and focus.
💡Tip: When utilizing AI-assisted task creation, ensure that your objectives and key results are thoroughly defined and clearly describe the purpose. This will enhance the quality of the AI's response.
Creating and Editing Key Results
Each Objective can have one or more Key Results that define how success is measured. When you click “+ New Key Result”, the following dialog appears:

Field | Description |
Name | A short, specific description of the measurable outcome (e.g., "Reach 300 paid users by June 30"). |
Description | Provide context, metrics, or assumptions behind the result. Optional but useful for clarity. |
Start Date / End Date | Define the timeframe for this Key Result. These dates must fall within the parent Objective's date range. |
Click Save to attach the Key Result to your Objective. You can return to edit or remove it as needed.
📌 Note: Key Results should always be time-bound, specific, and measurable. Use numerical goals where possible (e.g., increase NPS from 40 to 60).
Tips for use
Use clear, aspirational language for Objectives.
Ensure Key Results are specific, time-bound, and success-driven.
Break KRs into Tasks to make progress visible and manageable.
Reassign and update tasks as needed to reflect real-world execution.
Example
- Validate and scale customer acquisition to reach $10k MRR
- ➡ Progress: 9%
- Acquire 300 paid users by June 30, 2025
- ➡ Progress: 34%
