🔁 Managing Cycles
Cycles help teams plan, track, and complete work within specific timeframes. Use cycles to group and focus tasks during short, repeatable work periods—ideal for agile planning, sprints, or initiative tracking.
🧑🤝🧑 Team-Based StructureEach cycle belongs to a single team.
Cycles are scoped to teams and are not shared across teams. Select the team from the dropdown to view or manage its specific cycles.
Every cycle can be in one of the following states:
1. ✅ CompletedIndicates the cycle has ended and is no longer active. Completed cycles are locked from editing and serve as historical records.
2. 🟦 Active (only one at a time)Marks the currently ongoing cycle. A team can only have one active cycle at any given time. Starting a new active cycle will automatically deactivate the existing one.
3. 🕓 Backlog (Draft/Inactive)Future or draft cycles not yet started. You can freely edit and add tasks to these before activating them.

✏️ Creating or Updating a Cycle
Cycles define the work timeframe for your team—ideal for sprints, initiatives, or milestone-driven planning.
🆕 To Create a New CycleGo to the Cycles tab within your team’s workspace.
Click “+ New Cycle” or similar action button.

Name
Give your cycle a clear and descriptive title (e.g., Cycle 1 May or Q2 Sprint 1).Description (Optional)
Add context, goals, or key focus areas for the cycle.Start date / End date
Set the official Cycle timeframe. These dates define the boundaries for when work should ideally begin and end within this cycle.🔹 Note: These dates configure the Cycle settings only—they do not automatically schedule or adjust task-level due dates.
Status
Choose the current state of the cycle:Backlog – not yet started (editable)
Active – currently in progress (only one per team)
Completed – work has finished (locked from further editing)
Click Save to confirm.
Click the edit icon (✏️) next to any cycle. You can update the name, description, cycle dates, or status.
⚠️ Completed cycles are typically locked to preserve historical accuracy. You may only change their metadata unless editing is re-enabled.
